Our Bear
Our daughter Lisa found Bear after he had been thrown out of a car at the side of a freeway. She coaxed Bear and another dog into her car and took them home with her. During the night the one dog worked her way out of her yard, but Bear stayed. We have always felt Bear was a rescue puppy. He had not been well cared for, scarred, some of his bottom teeth broken out and other signs of neglect. She took him to her vet to be checked out and ceaned up. Bear stayed with her a couple of months and then came to live with us. We had him for 8 years and we felt so lucky to have him. Whoever had him did not deserve him.
We will miss Bear, but he was God's special gift to us and gave us so much more than we could give him. Bear touched many lives and is greatly missed. Bear left very special paw prints everywhere he went.
We are appreciative of the doctors and Staff at Habra-Linda Animal Hospital for all the live and care they gave Bear all the years they took care of him. Also we are grateful to the Orange County Emergency Pet Clincs' doctors and staff for being there for a weekend emergency and especially for all they tried to do for Bear at the end, it was difficult but they were extremely caring and compassionate.
