My Sweet Jinjee
My beautiful sweet dog Jinjee...
We raised her as a puppy into adulthood and she lived 17 and a half glorious years.
She had such great character from the get go. Her puppy antics were so cute and she did what puppies do. She loved her toys, her tummy rubs, her car rides, her walks, her treats, her food and most of all her humans that loved her dearly.
We fed her well with fruits (asian pears and cuties oranges were her faves), veggies (snow peas fresh from the plant* and bok choy stems were her faves), roast chicken, boiled pork, and of course rice (chinese dog, lol) and a little kibble here and there. I think her healthy diet helped with her longevity. *Note, my mom used to grow snow peas so Jinjee would have them to eat!
So many wonderful memories she has given us thru the years. She considered my mom and myself her "parents" so she would instantly cling to us first. Jinjee is in heaven now as she crossed over Rainbow Bridge and is frolicking with my parents in heaven and with all the other doggies before her.
Jinjee was bilingual. She knew "dog speak", English and Chinese! My mom spoke to her in Chinese often, so she knew the basic stuff. So our friends would come over and say they know Jinjee's Chinese! it was cute. My parents taught Jinjee how to shake hands with both front paws, so she had to earn her treats that way. She was also able to catch treats when we threw them to her. But most of all, Jinjee loved those tummy rubs that I would give her nonstop.
Jinjee was definitely a well-loved dog that we miss a whole lot! The name Jinjee means pearl in Chinese. My dad named her. She was a white fluffy dog, so cute, and always smiling.
