Our Boy Schenzie, Thank you our most noble & trusted friend. There are endless tears for having to let you go, but open arms filled with love will greet you when you arrive. No one could have been a truer friend than you & our Chaya, who will also welcome you over the Bridge, along with so many friends. When young I traveled with my Dad With friends, to parks, or wherever planned When he passed, we wondered where would we to go Unsure if we'd be with friend or foe But all was good, & we were blessed With family who would love us best. New friends we made, thru fun & sorrow Love filled the dawn of each tomorrow. Life has been good, so cozy & warm To be safe with comfort thru every storm. But our love must stand the hardest test As illness keeps me from peaceful rest Your love will do what must be done, This battle now faced, is not to be won. You will be sad I understand, But don't let grief then stay your hand, For on this day, more than the rest, Your love and friendship must be at it's best. We have had so many happy years, But sadly love does come with tears. You wouldn't want me to suffer so. When the time comes, please, let me go. Take me to where my needs they'll tend, Only, stay with me till the very end Hold me firm, with your voice near me Until my eyes no longer see. I know in time you will agree It is the dearest kindness you do for me. Although my tail its last has waved, From pain and suffering I have been saved.
