He was 16 years old and we'd be managing his kidney failure for years, so in some ways we were incredibly blessed to have him as long as we did. But this amazing little guy came into our lives when Teresa had been struggling for a year with crippling grief over the loss of her father, Jim, who was also my best friend. This little angel on four paws brought her back to the sunshine side of the mountain, and gave all of us love and grace every day he lived. Plus many, many laughs! We know his sisters Quora, Gracie, and Shakira and his cousins Bruce and Willie will be there to welcome him across the Rainbow Bridge until we meet again. I know that many of you are struggling with loss, and that as the holidays grow nearer, the loss can become even more painful.
