Even warriors need to rest. Today it was verified that Talker lost his right eye to FIP, a systemic and debilitating disease (virus). It caused him ocular issues and neurological issues ( he could no longer walk pain free or without losing balance and he could no longer pee on his own.) He was becoming increasingly anemic, sleeping more, eating less, and his other eye was in jeopardy with signs of inflammation. I could not let him suffer and lose his dignity anymore. In addition he had IBD. We are not sure how old he is but at least 10, hard to adjust to such big serious changes in his body in a short period of time.(just under 3 weeks for walking & bladder issues, 2 weeks for remaining eye to show inflammation ).
Talker I wish I had more time with you (adopted 7/8/2019). You were such a cuddly , talkative, curious fellow. I wish I could see you one more time waiting for me at the door or trying to eat that lucky bamboo plant! Please say hello to all your new friends in heavenÃÃÃÃÃÃ(some also lived here).
