Abigail came to us in Nov. 2000 from the Akita Rescue Network in Southern CA. The Rescue had tried 4 other homes for Abby over the years she was with them and they had not worked out. Abby's early life had been very hard resulting in her dislike of women, children and other animals. She had a floppy ear, did not curl her tail and she would not make eye contact. We had Bear at the time and were hoping for a female that could keep him playing in his declining years. Over the years she became a beautiful dog. Spunky, set in her ways, always the protector. She could look us in the eye and knew she was loved. We had many long conversations in her native wookie. We loved her so much and very much miss her.
