LYNX'S Story
We found Lynx wondering in an alley next to where we lived, when she was about 6 weeks old. She obviously had somehow wondered away from her mother and siblings. My friend, Becky, called out to her, "Here kitty, kitty" and she came running up to us. Becky picked her up, petted her, and then put her in my arms and said, "Here you go, here's your new cat". I fell in love with her instantly. My son, Mark, named her "Lynx" because she looked like a baby wild Lynx.
She was like my 3rd child. Lynx was always such a love and knew that she was very loved by us. She always did what she could to help us feel better. She survived multiple moves into new apartments over the years.
After having Lynx under the medical care of her Vet, and then her trying to find a place to hide at home and crying like she was in so much pain, it was with a very heavy heart that I finally had to make the decision to have her put to sleep.
My daughter, Vanessa, went with me to have Lynx cremated, her ashes put into this beautiful wooden box along with her hair brush and a small baggy of her hair. There's a name plaque on the top and we put 4 pictures of Lynx on the outside of the box. We then brought her home with us -- where she belongs.
Lynx was a very big part of our family for just a little over 18 years and she is very much loved and missed by us all.
