Smokey adopted us at a Petsmart Adoption Fair in Whittier. I was busy looking at the cute fluffy puppies and then I saw my husband asking about this skinny, dirty scrawny dog, I thought to myself "oh hell no" I want a cute dog. Well he won, thankfully cause Smokes was scheduled to be euthanized that week. Smokey not only won me over, he also stole our hearts. Smokey was my friend and confidant. After I started dialysis, I would come home tired and he was there, not leaving me out of his sight. I could confide in him about my fears and he would just look at me with those brown eyes that said "don't worry everything will be ok". We miss and love you sweet Smokey.
