Guestbook for Lady

Posted By Pam Becker on Oct 14 2012

My heart breaks for you both. Losing the dog that brought you both into this wonderful volunteer world and your "forever" dog is heart wrenching. She will be missed so much by everyone who knew her. Words can't express what we all are feeling for you; and we can't take away your sadness and pain. The joy of Lady will always be in your hearts; the ache will be there and will lessen over time, but never go away. Abby, Kiss and many others are there waiting for her to help her adjust to her new pain free home over the Rainbow Bridge. My heart goes out to you and the girls with big huge hugs.

Don and Carole, I am so, so sorry to hear such sad news. I know you both are beyond comfort at the moment, but know there are so many of us who are keeping your in our hearts today. Losing that special dog is such a hard thing to endure. Please remember (like Roxanne did for me) that Lady brought you both to all of us in pet therapy. She opened so many wonderful doors for you both, and now she is opening another door for you to cross over in time. Lady was able to show my Roxanne the way to therapy way back when. May Roxanne now return the favor and show Lady around her new home. Much love to you both, Jane

Dear Don and Carole, Though I never had the pleasure of getting to know Lady personally, I sure did hear a lot about her from other Pet Partner people. She was quite a gal and your team made so many people a lot happier. I hope your beautiful memories will help you during this difficult time.

Dear Don and Carole, I am wishing you comfort in this sad time. Lady was a beautiful spirit. She touched so many lives and made them better. What a wonderful tribute to her--only a handful of beings, human or otherwise, can take such credit. Lady helped you teach the therapy dog class in Anaheim which I attended 6 years ago. Her lovely presence was notable. I am so sorry for your loss, but I hope you can take solice in knowing you provided her with a warm and loving home. Liz

Lady was one of the first therapy dogs I ever met. Somehow you think they will just go on forever. I wish you peace and comfort.

I first met Lady at a recruiting event, and she was the inspiration for my therapy Shelties, Duffy and Bonnie. She helped hundreds of children in her long career, and she will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I had the pleasure to meet Lady & she was just that - a Lady, with a fan club. All of you did remarkable things together. You all made a difference. She, along with you both, have touched so many people. Lady will always be remembered fondly. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. You both are in my thoughts. With deepest sympathy, Betty Hall

Don, Carole and Sweet Lady was the first therapy team I was exposed to in my training session so many years ago. She set the bar very high for the rest of us. She was the ultimate CHOC dog! Paws out to all of you, Cody, Tucker and Suzie

Lady - you will be missed by so many. Thank you to you and your mom and dad for bringing such love and joy to the kids at CHOC. You were our mentor and role model!

Dear Don and Carole - I have tried several times to write this but had to stop due to my tears. It breaks my heart to think of the sadness you are both feeling - Lady was such a beautiful soul and you all touched so, so many lives over the years. You have always been my CHOC Dog heroes and it was a blessing each time Jenna and I had the opportunity to see you and Lady at CHOC events. Thank you for all that you did with Lady - I know she will live on in your hearts and I am glad you have Missy and Shellie to hopefully ease your pain a bit. I will keep you both in my prayers - with love and deepest sympathy, Janell and Jenna

Words just seem so inadequate at times like these. It's taken us this long to finally be able to type something without having to try to see through the tears. Please know that your dedication and Lady's pawsome talents will be the pinnacle to which we aspire. For all of us who were fortunate to meet her, memories of Lady will always give us joy. Hugs and condolences.
