Guestbook for Ceilidh

I will never forget Ceilidh. Never. She was sweet, loving and, as Karen said, "one of a kind". So very true.

Dear Karen, I am so sorry for your loss. You and Ceilidh provided such wonderful and much needed service at Mission Hospital Laguna Beach. Our Chemical Dependency patients valued each and every visit by the two of you. I enjoyed getting to know you and appreciate all the gifts you both shared with us. May you have peace in time. She will be missed.

Karen - My heart goes out to you for the loss of your beloved Ceilidh. She was one in a million - pure love. She has touched many lives in her career as a a therapy dog - bringing love and comfort. Know she was grateful to you for the life you gave her and continues to be present in your life in spirit.

Our hearts are weeping for your loss. Words fall short at this moment. We do understand your loss, but nothing will heal your heart but time. When we lost Garnet two and a half years ago (seems like last week) we called our breeder and she suggested we come and adopt another of her retired girls. I was skeptical, but it was the best advice anyone has ever given us. We will never forget Garnet, but we needed the love that Salsa Maria has given us. Love ya, Red Waggin, Salsa Maria, Nanci and Jerry Nielsen

Thank you Karen for the beautiful tribute you wrote about Ceilidh. The history of her life is remarkable--and you captured somehow in words just how special she is in our hearts as we go on remembering her sweetness, gentle nature, her springy step and play fullness. In the beginning, you saw her true self, and what a connection you both have. Many, many thanks for your work and care that helped make my time with Your Girl so special. --Kirk and Janine

...and don't forget the friendship she showed Sally and Pilot. Ceilidh always seemed to make them mind their manners more when they were with her. Will miss the ol girl. She's probably reimiscing with Sally and Ted as I write this.

I am so very sorry to hear about this. :( I will always remember her as the friendliest, most affectionate dog. I remember out first meeting with her, when we were redoing floors in the condo and she came to investigate, she decided right then, that we were her people. I am glad Sammy got the chance to meet her too. We will remember her always. Marina, Rich and Sammy

Hello Karen; I am so sorry to hear about your loss. As you know, I lost my beautiful boy recently, so unfortunately I know the pain you are going thru. Your girl left a legacy and touched so many lives. She is and will always be with you. Someone gave the following to me. It gave me a little comfort, so I wanted to share it with you: I stood by your bed last night; I came to have a peep. I could see that you were crying, you found it hard to sleep. I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear. "It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here". I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour your tea, you were thinking about the many times your hands reached down to me. I was with you at the shops today; your arms were getting sore. I longed to take your parcels; I wish I could do more. I was with you at my grave today; you tend it with such care. But I want to reassure you that I'm not lying there. I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key. I gently put my paw on you; I smiled and said "It's me". You look so very tired and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know that I was standing there. It's possible for me to be so near to you every day. To say to you with certainty "I never went away". You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew. In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you. The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning and say "goodnight, God bless, I'll see you in the morning". And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide, I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side. I have so many tings to show you, there is so much for you to see. Be patient, live your journey out... Then come home to be with me.

My heart is heavy for you. I wont say " I lost my dog" or anything like that cause no one knows how the loss affects you. Your dog lived so long because the love you gave. My favorite book "Four paws from heaven" Deepest sympathy in Christ who died and rose again 2012 years ago Barry
