Guestbook for Ethel

We fell in love with our Ethel the first time we saw her. She was the only girl in 2 litters of 13- there were 12 males. Ethel was the only one with the toy- she was racing around this yard with 12 male puppies behind her! It was love at first sight. One of the male puppies kept egging her on to keep running- we had our Fred and Ethel! Ethel had such spirit and spunk- she could put a smile on the saddest face, she loved life and she loved us. She stole our hearts the first time we saw her and when she left us, she took our hearts with her. So much fun, so many smiles. Ethel is the first thing I see when I close my eyes. Ethel was so loved by the doctors and staff at the Garden Grove Pet Hospital, especially Dr. Mark, Dr. Hess, and Danielle. She received excellent care, they were all so compassionate and understanding during her kidney failure. Ethel, we miss your footsteps in the middle of the night, we miss our walks and we miss you greeting us at the door with your smile, attitude and kisses. We miss you! Bye-bye Ethel, we love you! Although we have lost our beloved Ethel, she will be in our hearts and dreams forever. As in life, the best walks are always too short, and we cherish every one we had with her. We love and miss our baby girl so.

Ethel was full of energy and spirit from the first day that she came home. When out in the yard, she would run around in circles, not chasing anything, just running wild and having fun outside. She was very strong for a little girl pug! Her brother Fred was always bigger than she was and outweighed her by a few pounds. He would sit in his bed with a toy when they played tug of war, she was strong enough to drag him and the bed across the floor! Her spirit kept her strong, especially when she faced kidney failure. She was joyful and full of love and kisses until the end, loving her daily walks and seeing her friends. She is deeply missed!

We're so sorry that Ethel is no longer with you. What a lucky little to be so loved and cared for by you. Now you get to spread that love to another little pug.
