Pam and Mike, my heart aches for you. This is the nearly impossible part of caring for and loving our "kids". Bentley was a dear little dog who stole all our hearts. Hugs to you both.

Bentley was the ambassador of love. He shared himself with so many people, and gave his heart to you.

I know how difficult this time is. There are now words for this and I know how long this feeling remains. Just know you are loved by so many of us ...because of this - how you love them.

Posted By kim kane on Mar 06 2014

I'm sitting here trying to think of something to say that will make you feel better but I'm coming up short. I'm very sorry...bless your heart.

Dear Pam & Mike, We are so saddened to hear about the loss of Bentley. While we mourn the loss of any pet, this loss is particularly difficult for us as you and Bentley were our very first team to inaugurate the Pet Therapy Program at Mission in 2007. I will always fondly remember Bentley rolling the halls on his special platform; he carried such a presence with him. We are feeling your loss and extending caring thoughts your way during this most difficult time. With Great Love for Bentley, Christy

Pam and Mike, Bentley will always hold a special place in my heart for being Cody's first Cavalier friend and for being a true inspiration as a therapy team. Love to you both, Suzie, Cody and Tucker

Dear Pam and Mike - My heart aches for you and with you - what a sweet creature Bentley was! He could melt hearts with those eyes and you touched the lives of so many people by sharing his love. I remember Jenna looking up at him rolling by on his "special chair" and looking over at me like, "wow - did you see that, Mom?" I'm sure they are enjoying seeing each other again over the Rainbow Bridge. I will keep you in my prayers during this most difficult time, Janell

Those special dogs......how they yank on our hearts in a way that is beyond words. And then they leave us with such a huge hole in our hearts. How does such a small creature leave such a massive mark on our hearts?? Not only did Bentley mark your hearts, he worked on everyone's heart he met. He will be sadly missed by so many of us. My heart and prayers go out to you and Mike at this very sad time. Just know, that all of us hold you in our hearts and are only a whisper away. Hugs

Posted By Peggy and Thom Larkin on Mar 06 2014

Pam and Mike, Thom and I are so so sorry for your loss of Bentley. He was such a special handsome guy that will be missed by so many. We are never ready to let them go, however they rely on us to give them that very last unselfish gift when it's time. We hope you find some comfort in knowing you did everything possible for Bentley and in the end you unselfishly gave him the gift to go on to the rainbow bridge. Run free little guy and fly with the angels.

Dear Pam, Please accept my most sincere condolences for the loss of your dear Bentley. The Human-Animal Bond that you shared with him since you rescued him at age 3 became a most loving and special relationship. May God Bless you and those who loved Bentley during these difficult days of pet loss.

I'm so very glad I persisted and nagged you into "just trying" to foster Bentley. He found his forever home with your family and led a very happy and productive life, spreading joy to everyone who met him. He was truly born a people dog and enriched all our lives. Rest in peace, Bentley. Our warmest thoughts are with the people who loved you and grieve losing your company.

Pam and Mike, I am so sorry for your loss! I hope you both find comfort in the memories you have shared with him. You both are such wonderful and giving people and have helped so many dogs find their forever homes, including mine. It doesn't seem fair that you two should have to suffer this kind of loss. Bentley was lucky to share his life with you. May he rest in peace and you will see him at the rainbow bridge one day. My sympathy and hugs to you both.

Dear Pam and Mike, I'm so sorry for your loss. Bentley was such a wonderful dog, in every way! The smiles and joy that he brought to everyone around him will never be forgotten! The patients and staff alike lit up when Bentley came down the hall- it was impossible not to when you saw his sweet smiling face. One of my favorite memories of Bentley is the year he wore a Halloween costume- complete with doggie sunglasses! He was so lucky to have you as his family- and we were so lucky that you shared him with us- the staff and patients at Mission Hospital ARU. Sending you love and hugs as you miss your sweet boy, ~Conni

I'm so sorry. I now realize how hard it is to loose a furry family member. There are no words, except heaven has greeted another Angel. I so miss my Indy boy, he was perfect. My 2 new greyhounds are very different, they raced over 200 races ea, are kind and gentle, but certainly have very high prey instinct to have been successful long term racers. We all send you big hugs and peace during this very difficult time. So Run free Bentley and say hi to my Indy!!!

It will be 2 years on Monday I lost one of my. Cavs Keisha, lost her sister 3 months later. I now have 2 more who helped me through the pain like you wouldn't believe got the first just before my second cav passed the way like Bentley. It is a very hard time you never truly get over because you love them so much, but I would never want to be without a cav in my life, pure joy. Hang in there you will be ok and enjoy the good times you had together! Here are my current 2 to add a smile to your day, Charly and Bobbie x

Pam, I've been thinking about you and Mike a lot today. I know how hard the first several days are after we loose our furry companions. My heart goes out to you two. It really helped me to write a celebration of life about Caydee when we lost her. I saw that you have a memorial for Bentley on the animal health foundation.I will feel honored to write on the site. You will always miss Bentley just like Abby however thank goodness we have so any wonderful memories of our babies while they were with us. We'll talk in a couple weeks. Peggy

Dear Pam, I am so very sorry. My heart breaks for you and Mike. It’s so very hard to lose our children. It is amazing how one can fall in love in an instant, but there is always that special dog that entwines itself into your life and daily routine. The one that reads every mood and understands every word. That Bentley dog that will forever be remembered and dearly loved. May you find peace in knowing that Bentley was a well-loved dog by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He made so many people smile and experience joy that they may not otherwise have known. He was a truly special boy. We will all miss him and we all grieve with you for his loss. Jackie

Oh, Pam and Mike, I am so, so sorry for your loss! I feel your pain! I know there are a lot of poems, etc., out there about loss of a precious 4-legged friend, but I found this one: " I can no longer see you with my eyes or touch you with my hands, but I will feel you in my heart Forever! " Pictures help in keeping him in your hearts as well. I have Calvin on my computer wallpaper, real close up shot, and every night when I turn it off, I say good night to him and tell him I love him still. Take care, Bonnie and John
